To share this awesome experience with a few of my aerobics students, I decided to turn these free Kroger products into a healthy snack. For the bag of Kroger Kettle Cooked Nashville Style Hot Chicken Potato Chips that I received free in mail, we had, "Private Selection's Restaurant Style Salsa," to dip the chips in because the salsa has only 10 calories per serving. We also used this salsa as the filler in our, "Kroger Naked Potato Skins," that we received free with the coupon that was included with the free bag of potato chips. We also had Kroger's Light Sour Cream to place on top of the salsa in our potato skins. I had cut the potato skins in half after baking them so they could be filled and eaten like a light snack. The snacks went over big and everyone enjoyed picking up coupons for the products before leaving. #KrogerFaves #WinningCombo #MyMagazineSharing #FreeSamp http://mymagazinesharing.us

If my daughter had her choice, she would eat junk food all the time. One way to encourage yours kids to eat healither, larn about nutrition, and learn the five food groups, is by using this Food Group Sorting Activity. Kids learn what types of food belong in each category. You could also ask them what their favorite food is. Visit the link below to download and print your food group sorting activity. It is available in two versions: Color or black & white. It includes a plate with the 5 food groups and 20 images of food that kids can sort into the correct food groups. This would also be great to laminate and use it as a fun game over and over, or it could be used in a classroom as a cut and paste activity. To download and print this activity, visit the link below:

I thought I would have my daughter make this neat painting but realized I didn't have any yellow paint. Our plan is to get yellow paint and make this to hang up and brighten up the room on another day. Materials:
Piece of white construction paper Yellow paint Brown paint Green paint Paintbrush How To Make: Use yellow paint to paint your child's palm and then have them make a circle of yellow handprints. Let that dry. Then use brown paint to paint either their finger or thumb and have them cover the center of the circle with brown fingerprints or thumbprints. Next, paint their thumb green and make the stem. Then paint both feet green, one at a time, and make the leaves with their footprints. This is a beautiful work of art that also provides memories of your child's handprints & footprints. You could even do this every year to compare their growth in life, just like a sunflower grows :) I DO NOT own this photo. We are having an ice storm mixed with snow, so I felt like this would be awesome to post today.
This is a great way for kids to practice writing numbers, letters, making shapes, etc. I do not own this photo. Get it Here: www.pre-kpages.com/the-snowy-day-sensory-writing-tray/ |
